Leading up to a presidential election, a citizens’ organization wanted to make women nationwide aware of their voting responsibilities. The organization created the “Adopt-a-Salon” campaign, which recruited volunteers to provide salons of their choice with a pro-voting display. The display included a large countertop sign encouraging women to vote on November 2, as well as promotional mini manicure sets containing products such as a nail files, cuticle scissors, nail clipper and a cuticle pusher imprinted with the slogan “Don’t let this election be a nail-biter,” and, of course, voter registration forms. |
