OBJECTIVE: Decrease non-emergency visits to the emergency room
OVERVIEW:

A local hospital was observing an increase in emergency room visits that were not really emergencies.  It was already giving out magnets to each emergency room visitor but decided to additionally hand out first aid kits imprinted with the hospital’s other key contact numbers such as poison control, urgent care, appointment scheduling, etc. 

The hospital hoped that with this information at patients’ fingertips, they would be encouraged to take advantage of these non-emergency services and the emergency room would clear out for those who were truly in need of urgent care.

DISTRIBUTION: Presented patients who came to the emergency room with a first aid kit upon their discharge.
OUTCOME: The hospital experienced a decrease in non-emergency visits to the emergency room over the next year.
PRODUCT: Travel First Aid Kit
CUSTOMER: Insurance Agency
OBJECTIVE: Enroll existing clients in the company's new medical insurance program
OVERVIEW:

The insurance agents sent travel first aid kits to all their existing clients imprinted with the company's logo, the agent's name and ad copy about the company's new healthcare insurance offerings.

DISTRIBUTION: Custom Travel First Aid Kits were mailed to the insurance company's existing clients.
OUTCOME: The kits generated interest in the healthcare insurance program and each agent began signing up their existing clients in the new program.
PRODUCT: Compact First Aid Kit
CUSTOMER: City Police and Fire Department
OBJECTIVE: Education
OVERVIEW:

A city’s safety department consisting of police officers, firemen and rescue workers sponsored a safety seminar at a local high school.  During the seminar, students were taught how to guide and protect themselves through emergency situations. 

DISTRIBUTION: Each student received a compact first aid kit at the end of the seminar with emergency numbers printed on the cover.
OUTCOME: The students were educated about emergency situations and received handy access to emergency phone numbers via the first aid kit.
